Outside of work, I find it fun to use data to explore interesting questions, even if it’s just for entertainment. At its best, data can be used for exploration, for storytelling, or to make observations about the world around you. I’m a big Game of Thrones fan, for example, and wondered which character in the show was the most well-traveled in Westeros. I analyzed data sets that placed characters in different locations throughout the series. Turns out, Arya Stark was the most well-traveled character in Westeros.

I’m really passionate about travel and motorcycles. I’ve traveled extensively in India, exploring different states and regions on my motorcycle. I enjoy the thrill and sense of adventure. I also have a love for travel in general and have backpacked across India, taking buses and trains to explore different parts of the country. I haven’t traveled as much in the US yet, but always enjoy an adventure whenever I can find it.

In addition to performing myself, I also have a big appreciation for theater and performing arts more generally. I love Shakespeare and watching plays, as well as hosting readings with friends. I even met my wife, Summer, at a Shakespeare workshop! I’m also a big fan of great television shows. I find other performers inspiring. Whether they are telling a story through movement, song, or dialogue, the best performers have the ability to evoke deep and authentic feelings in their audience.

I’m a big advocate for disaster relief and education. I’ve been involved in helping with flood crises and teaching English, both in Mumbai and in other locations. I believe that education is a crucial factor in solving various problems, and am committed to doing whatever I can to support children and those in need, particularly when communities are facing natural disasters. I believe we all have a responsibility to conserve our resources and take care of each other.
