I discovered ballroom dancing while I was a student at UC Davis - I went to a gym to look for a Kung Fu class and ended up finding them instead. Despite the fact that I didn’t usually allow myself to let go and move freely, I’ve come to love that ballroom dancing incorporates some structure and some freedom of expression. I'm now a certified ballroom dance instructor by major dance associations in both the USA and the UK.

You might have noticed from my photos, but I really love to collect bowties. I’ve even come up with my own tradition of wearing bowties on Tuesdays. I’ve worn them for over 262 weeks consecutively!

Ever since childhood, I’ve enjoyed creative writing as a way to express myself and use my imagination. I used to ask people like my teachers and friends for writing prompts and just spend hours writing. Nowadays, I still get to practice creative writing for my job. I turn on music depending on my mood and write things like scripts, narratives, and dialogue for my video games.

Whether in my professional life or my personal life, I'm constantly looking for opportunities to delight, entertain, and support others. I love spending hours figuring out just the right gift for a friend as much as I love figuring out just the right narrative for a game.

When I'm not at the computer, I'm usually enjoying a really well-crafted cup of coffee. I’d consider myself a coffee aficionado. The island in my kitchen is dedicated to making coffee. I even took a class in chemical engineering at UC Davis just to understand more about coffee!
