Art is where I find freedom—whether it’s painting with acrylics, experimenting with yarn-based projects, or immersing myself in the beauty of others' creations. During grad school, painting became my sanctuary, a way to unwind and express ideas beyond words. Traveling also feeds my artistic spirit, as I collect pieces that carry the essence of places and people I’ve encountered. Music flows just as deeply—raised on Bengali melodies, harmonium rhythms, and family jam sessions, I’ve always found joy in both performing and dancing to whatever sparks energy in the moment.

For me, fashion and design are forms of self-expression. I love experimenting with clothing, layering pieces that reflect how I feel or who I want to be in a moment—it’s storytelling in fabric. My home carries the same energy: filled with bright colors, art, and objects that bring joy to me and my family. We don’t aim for perfect coordination; instead, our space is a reflection of us—vibrant, slightly chaotic, and full of life. Both fashion and design allow me to create environments that feel personal and meaningful.

Discovering, tasting, recreating, and sharing great food is one of my favorite joys. I love the challenge of tasting a dish and recreating it without a recipe—something that runs in the family. My mom makes incredible Bengali food, and her approval of my curry was a proud moment. Cooking lets me explore the flavors of the world—whether it’s Mediterranean, Japanese, or Italian, I’m always experimenting. It’s not just about the food itself but also about connection—bringing family together over bold, spicy, and inspiring meals.

My love for travel is deeply shaped by a life spent across different countries. I’m drawn to old cities with cobblestone streets, historic castles, and vibrant local life. Museums are always at the top of my list—like the Pergamonmuseum in Berlin, where I saw the Ishtar Gate. Built over 2,500 years ago in ancient Babylon (modern-day Iraq), the gate was once a grand entrance to the city, decorated with colorful tiles and animal figures. Whether it’s exploring ancient artifacts or just soaking in the rhythm of a new city, traveling helps me connect with the stories and cultures that make the world feel both vast and familiar.
