I’ve always been an active person. I’ve been playing competitive sports since childhood and became a decorated Division I women’s basketball player in college. After suffering knee injuries, I decided to take a step back, but I still spend a lot of time staying active. These days I practice a lot of yoga and weightlifting. I also love playing fetch with my two French bulldogs.

Volunteering.

My philosophy is “service before self”, which I applied during my long-time service in the US Air Force. Since then, I have become an advocate for women and veterans. I volunteer in women’s soup kitchens and am working to make holistic healthcare practices more accessible to veterans.

I love baking cookies and giving them to my friends and neighbors. I especially enjoy making themed cookies for different holidays like Halloween and Christmas. Baking reminds me of my family and my childhood and the generosity of sharing food with others. I learned to bake from my mom.
